If having fun somewhere warm is your idea of this year's vacation getaway, then you really owe it to yourself to visit Orlando. Aside from the weather that is just gloriously sunny, it is also a place known for its various tourist attractions. You really can't go wrong with booking a ticket to this land of sun and fun.

With an estimated population of about 185,951, Orlando sits in the county seat of Orange County as one of the best cities in Florida. The United States Census Bureau lists Orlando as occupying a total area of 261.5 kmイ (100.9 miイ). 242.2 kmイ (93.5 miイ) of land and 7.39% or 19.3 kmイ (7.5 miイ) of water. It also has a varied and rich history; the name itself is adopted in 1936 from a soldier named Orlando Reeves who died heroically during the war against the Seminole Indian tribe. Situated roughly 106 feet above sea level, Orlando has a relatively warm and humid climate.

Orlando experiences two seasons annually. This seasons are the warm and cool seasons. The warm season is a combination of heat and rain which normally lasts from May until October. Come November until the month of March, rainfall becomes frequently less and temperature becomes cooler. Orlando is prone to wildfire hazards during its driest season on the months of December until May.

Orlando, a name derived in 1836 from a soldier named Orlando Reeves who died during the war between the Indian's tribe Seminole, is considered to be among the top vacation spots in the world. Among its well known attractions include Walt Disney World Resort. Walt Disney was said to have raised the economic status of Orlando since its formation back in 1965.

Today, Orlando has become a city known all around the world for its numerous theme parks and tourist attractions. It has been perceived to accommodate an average of 52 million tourists per year.

So, are you already thinking of visiting Orland on your next vacation? You shouldn't be because it must be a must for you to go and experience all the wonderful sites Orland has to offer every tourist. Surely a visit in Orlando will be an experience you will carry on throughout your lifetime.
